 I had taught my son never to approach a horse unless he talked to it, as to not startle the horse. I had turned my stallion out in the yard to dry after a bath and my son (age 4) held out his hands and was saying "Its me Thunder, I'm right here"....Thunder froze in his tracks and put his nose right down into Phil's hands--This was 4 years ago, and they are still fast friends.
